HP

Still & Video Post Direction | Client management | Project Management | Financial Tracking

With a diverse array of consumer products, HP is known for their sleek design, cutting edge performance, and versatility. Working artistically to maintain a natural feel, my team worked to showcase HP products in lifestyle environments, where the best post-production artistry goes unnoticed, even while making the product shine.

Whether bringing renders into shot environments, reconstructing port configurations to match the latest laptop model, or getting the highlight gradient just right on the logo, I held my team to the highest technical and artistic bar, achieving visual results that draw in the target audience.

I oversaw both still and video post teams, managing shoot edits and gallery posts, retouching, editing, color grading, text animation, sound integration, and final derivatives.

As director of post-production, it was my job to set the schedule & workflow, keep all the moving parts in motion, and review & approve all visual assets, in collaboration with the production artists and creatives in my studio and business units at HP. Using tools like Smartsheet, frame.io, and Slack, I kept everyone connected and information communicated as efficiently as possible. Creating scalable systems allowed me to build the team up with freelance talent when the demand was higher and keep the communication flowing and the projects efficient.

Working across many projects and with many business units across HP, financial tracking was critical. I tracked estimates and billing, making sure we stayed within and aligned on budget on all projects, fostering a more productive and successful working relationship.
